SWANtech NPPD Data Report Results

SWANtech, a business unit of Curtiss-Wright Flow Control Company, published results of third-party analysis of Catch the Wind Inc.’s (CTW) field trial with Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD). This trial analyzed the benefit of using the forward wind sensing capability of CTW’s nacelle-mounted Vindicator® Laser Wind Sensor (LWS), which can optimally align a wind turbine with approaching wind. SWANtech’s results show reduced stress using the Vindicator® LWS’ forward-looking wind speed and direction measurements for turbine control.
