What does LDV stand for?

LDV stands for Laser Doppler Velocimeter, a technology that uses lasers to measure wind speed and direction from a remote location. Using concepts similar to Doppler radar, with light as the medium of detection, the Vindicator® laser wind sensor (LWS), a patented fiber-optic based technology, senses air particle movement at distances out to 300 meters. The system processor analyzes the air particle movement, producing speed and direction data for wind field determination
